Had a last minute business dinner here. We were able to get a table on a Wednesday night, no problem. Service was very friendly, provided recommendations, and was very fast with everything. Highly recommend the Elote Tamal appetizer. DELICIOUS! I had a steak that was very tasty. One person in my party had scallops, and they looked perfect. They had live music, which was nice. Really good drink menu and a full bar. Definitely worth stopping by if you have not tried them before.

This place is now a fav of ours! Food was so good I cannot wait to come back! We had the corn tamel and it was a cool experience. Waiter was so great, gave us all the recommendations. The inside was beautifully decorated.

This is a great restaurant! At first I thought that our experience wouldn't be that great because the hostess was aloof and not pleasant. But no stars taken off because the remaining experience was exceptional. Our server Luis was on spot, perfect. I had the meat strips, which were like fajitas, just not sizzling. Regardless there was a generous portion and the meat was tender. I had the coffee ole for dessert. It was in a clay cup, which is traditional. We will definitely be going back here. FIVE stars all the way!

Very impressive restaurant, the ambiance was fantastic. Service by Luis was fantasic. the food was fantastic. I wasn't too hungry, so I ordered the soup. it came in a very large bowl with the ingredients inside. There was no broth. The waiter then poured the thick broth over the soup ingredients. so fresh! We had guacamole for an appetizer. I was impressed with the large order. The chips were homemade, but there were only a few (6 or so). No downgrade because they might have brought more if I asked.

Rule #1: never underestimate the complexity and diversity of Mexican culture. I love Mexican food. Serving pretty tasty Mexican food, with a side of atmosphere (specialty corn themed), this new spot is something special. I've visited three times now. They're always serving up great balanced drinks. Obviously the tequila and Mezcal are flowing. I've never received a dish the way I expected, but it's always pretty dang tasty, from the ceviche to the pulpo to the specialty seasonal offerings. Their desserts will surprise you, and on occasion (like Mother's Day), you may be lucky enough to be treated to live music, in our case a harpist!

This place was amazing and top notch. I was not sure what to expect with the prices. Yes this is fine dining and well worth what you pay for it. Definitely an experience you want to consider at least once or twice. So flavorful and presented well. My waiter was patient, swift and very attentive. Oscar. We had the private room thankfully as this place was packed and loud. It was freezing at first but they adjusted the temperature once we asked. The bathrooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The entire restaurant has an intimate, boogie vibe. They high recommended a reservation! But still was able to seat us 5. Trompo is highly recommend and perfect for sharing. My potato tacos with pork belly and cabbage were divine paired with Micheladas that tasted just like the ones you get in Mexico. Here you will feel like you went on a vacation to Mexico and explored one of the best places to eat. I can't wait to splurge again and go back.

The food was delicious but what surprised me the most was the beautiful girl who greeted me. I got disappointed when I didn't see her on the menu

First time visiting & it was excellent! Service was slow, but they were busy so we give you a pass. Very pleasant decor. Presentation on drinks & dishes was gorgeous. We had Black Diamond Margarita , Splash de Nayarit & they were amazing. Wonderful pulpo in the Sopes de pulpo. Just the right amount of spice. Wagyu braised short rib & Salmon The short rib tomatillo sauce was just the right amount of tangy & the meat was sooo tender. Salmon was fine, but the rice made the dish!!

I saw this restaurant on ABC13 Localish segment. I loved the chef's story and the food looked amazing. Therefore, I decided to eat at Xalisko's for my birthday. For a Thursday night the place was packed and lively. They had a mariachi band playing and everyone was enjoying themselves. There were several families and parties dining in on a Thursday night. The aesthetic of this restaurant is very nice and it gives a high end vacation vibe. The restaurant is located in front of The Woodlands Mall. From the road it's hidden, but once you turn into the mall circle and drive around depending on which direction you'll see it. The parking lot is not very big so if you cannot find parking; you can park at the mall and walk across to the restaurant. Once inside we were greeted with a smile. We were told it would be a 30min wait for a party of two. We reviewed the menu and it had several great options to choose from. Xalisko's was also partaking in the Houston Restaurant Week offering a three course dinner menu for $55. Within two minutes of us sitting down our waiter came to ask for our drinks. He even put our napkins on our laps for us. He kindly asked our language preference of Spanish or English. I thought that was a neat gesture. A respectable amount of time passed to review the menu and order. I ordered the Pescado which was very delicious and portioned appropriately for a late dinner. My friend ordered from the Houston Restaurant Week menu. The first course was the Tacos Ahogados, second course was the Steak Borracho, and third course was the Vegan Flan de Mazapan. My friend thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I rated the restaurant 4 stars, because the water wasn't refilled without us asking, our waiter wasn't the friendliest. He was efficient in making sure our orders were taken in a timely manner, dirty plates were cleared prior to the meal, but that was it. No small talk or ask if we were celebrating anything. I would definitely return back to this restaurant soon. I would highly recommend anyone to come and try Xalisko's for a date night, family dinner, or birthday dinner. Just remember to make a reservation in advance.
